Sideline Studio™: Professional Sports & Live Event Venue

The Challenge

Stadiums deliver powerful energy — but for many fans, the intensity becomes overwhelming. Bright lights, crowd surges, prolonged noise, and unpredictable sensory input can trigger acute stress, especially for neurodivergent fans, children, first-time attendees, and individuals with trauma or sensory sensitivity. Our mission was to create a reset space that keeps fans connected to the game — not removed from it.

Scope

Design of an inclusive, sensory-regulated fan retreat suite that maintains connection to the event experience.

Scale

Approx. 120 sq ft — compact, modular, scalable; suitable for single-suite conversion or concourse installation.

Budget

Concept-level; adaptable to tiered finishes and sponsorship integration.

Interior of a room with a neon sign reading 'Sideline Studio' on a green wall, a mustard yellow sofa with black headphones, a green armchair, round coffee tables, a bean bag, a window showing a stadium, and a plant with a lamp nearby.

The Impact

Expands stadium access for neurodivergent fans, anxious attendees, and families

Prevents early exits + increases comfort and return likelihood

Supports regulated re-entry to the event instead of withdrawal

Strengthens venue’s position in inclusive, human-centered event experience

Creates emotionally secure access for fans who otherwise skip arena events

This is not a timeout room — it's a participation-preservation space.
